1.What is your working essential question?
- What is the most important factor to consider in creating an effective graphic design?
2. What are some possible answers to your working essential question?
- composition; the way the whole design looks, what colors are used, what images are used, the balance of space, everything in a graphic design must all be in harmony
- whether or not a design is communicative. The whole point of graphic design is to convey a message visually
3. What is the most important source you have used that has helped you come up with an answer to your working essential question?
- It's hard to pick just one, but I'd have to go with my summer mentor, Daryl Villanueva. He's the one who first introduced concept in graphic design, and ever since, everything he said about the subject has come up in a lot of the articles I've seen.
4. Who is your mentor or where are you volunteering, and how does that relate to your essential question?
- My current mentor, Inaki Serrano, works at Biolase's graphic design department. He's teaching me more about the fundamentals of graphic design and hopefully he'll help me choose between the two of my possible answers
