November Post: A Little More Practice

So in the October Post, I said I used the brush tool to vector/vexel a photograph of an action figure. Here's how it turned out:
With the brush tool, the result isn't as clean as the pen tool. There's still a bit of pixelation and it's difficult to add detail. With the pen, however, it's a lot easier to follow curves and takes less effort to do more. You can set the pen tool to fill in the shape you defined too. Here's how it went:
As you can see (hopefully), there's a little more detail in this image as opposed to the one done with the brush tool. I even added the little gray gun in this one too. The pen tool is good for defining and filling more complicated shapes. It's your best friend when it comes to anything you want to do in Photoshop.
